Relevant ISO-Standards for European handtools

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from some 130 countries, one from each country. These are ISO’s work results in international agreements which are published as International Standards.

The technical work of ISO is carried out in a hierarchy of technical committees (TC), subcommittees (SC) and working groups.

In TC 29 mainly Machine Tools, such like Circular Saw Blades, Bandsaw Blades for metal cutting are standardized and in SC 10 of TC 29 many kinds of handtools represented by CEO, such like Tightening Tools, Pliers, Nippers and Screwdriver will be standardized.
