The European Single Market is vital for the European Tool industry, given the export-oriented nature of our business activities. A coherent and uniform application of European Union law is therefore of utmost importance to producers of hand tools and construction fixings.

Defending your interests and contribute to better lawmaking and implementation

CEO actively defends the common interests of the European Tool industry in the field of EU Regulatory Affairs. We aim to provide input and recommendations of our industry to EU policymakers with the goal to create and maintain best conditions of competitiveness for the European tool manufacturers.

CEO Steering Group European Legislation

The CEO Steering Group European Legislation was founded in December 2023, as a result of the new focus of our association's work on regulation.

The Steering Group is coordinating the association's activities in the area of ​​regulation. Participation is open to CEO direct members. There are two meetings planned per year. As chair have been voted:

CPR

In close cooperation with the CEO subgroup Construction Fixings Europe, this WG deals with the implementation of the new EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

A special focus is given to the transition of current European Assessment Documents (EADs) and European Technical Assessments (ETAs) from the present to the new CPR.
