Euro Area manufacturing production falls for first time since January

The Eurozone Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) shows worsening operating conditions for the manufacturing sector. A decline in output has been broad-based in Europe (with stagnation in Germany and Spain). It is likely due to a previous build-up in inventories in the face of long-strained supply chains.
